Like a Fingerprint

Zebra’s stripes are as individual as a fingerprint. The shoulder is usually the most individual spot to the point a mother will keep her foal slightly removed from the herd in order to imprint her pattern on the foal so it knowns who its mother is should they be seperated. You can see by the picture though, sometimes even your behind can be recognised in a large crowd…
