Taken at Sunset Dam, Kruger National Park, South Africa
Sunset Dam is one of my favourite spots in Kruger. Though sometimes you may have to battle the crowds because of it’s location right near the gate of Lower Sabie Camp, the wildlife around the area makes it worth it. I have spent many hours sitting and watching hippos fighting, crocs cruising through the water, monitor lizards trying to get a meal from a distracted bird, and also laughed at the baboons climbing all over peoples cars because they were simply in the way of their social issues.
This photo was taken right on sunset as 2 males cruised the water’s edge sitting in trees, on cars and atop the dam’s name sign (where he sits in the picture)
