Predator Patience

Having sat millimetres from this beautiful lion previously as she watched the zebras and the wildebeest walk by with no notice whatsoever of her silent figure on the dusty road, she moved further forward, inch by inch, giving us a spectacular view right in her line of sight as to what was for dinner.

Unfortunately (or one could say this was a good thing) she decided at the last minute that she was not quite hungry enough and proceeded, along with her 5 other family members, to bask in the afternoon sun, paws in the air, absolute bliss. One of the many beauties that nature has to offer, it’s ability to change from a terrifying tension in the atmosphere filled with visions of potential death and panic, to absolute peace and tranquility within seconds, such is the magic of the African bush.
